Originally from Toulouse, I graduated with an LEA degree in English, Japanese and International Trade. I joined Jardin Culturel after having accumulated over 2 years of experience abroad (London and Edinburgh).
I like discovering new cultures and sharing mine with new students.
Lover of cinema, literature and cats, Lauren came to Toulouse a year ago from Austin, Texas. She is fluent in french thanks to a year spent studying in Pau. Lauren has a variety of work experience including working as a florist for several years and she also worked on the set of Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof. Since graduating from Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in English and French, she came to Toulouse and completed her TEFL certification. Along with teaching English, she enjoys reading, writing, and meeting new people.
I was born in Toulouse and have recently obtained my FLE with the l’Alliance Française in Paris. I was the Director’s assistance at the théâtre Jules-Julien for 5 years and the Opéra du Capitole for 1 year. I lived in Bristol (UK) and I love this city. I like Star Wars, table tennis and comics.
I discovered FLE teaching by working as a volunteer in Toulouse associations and fell in love with it, so I took courses to get the DAEFLE (diploma of aptitude for teaching French as a foreign language) from the Alliance Française de Paris. After that I got more experience working as a FLE teacher in Toulouse training centres and universities.
I have lived in Chile (My second homeland), the United States and Brazil.
Our extended network of experts
Passionate about my language, different cultures and learning styles, I obtained a Master degree in FLE didactics, which opened the doors to teaching my language and culture in France and abroad.
Dynamic and curious, I had the opportunity to travel to different countries, including New Zealand and Australia in the last two years. Music and dance punctuate my free time. I also like comedy, swimming and walks in nature.
